I love mermaids. As MerMay comes to a close, here's a kiss from Midnight Kiss, one of my original mermaid paintings.

Happy Mother's Day!
I think this is a mallard duck with her ducklings going for a swim. I was photographing them at Huntington Gardens and thought they were oh so lovely... I hope you have a lovely day.
May the 4th Be With You!
Happy Earth Day!
I don't know the name of this flower, but it struck me with its beauty. I was photographing it at Huntington Gardens when this sweet bee came along to pollinate the flower...
Happy Easter!
Happy National Panda Day!
Happy International Women's Day!
For this day I'm sharing my daily rough sketch, it is of a big eyed Ukrainian woman with a floral headdress. When I thought of International Women at this time, it is what I felt most compelled to sketch.
I feel at a loss to help the situation there, but https://twitter.com/colbertlateshow has some links to donate to Ukraine.

This big eyed garden guardian and I would like to wish you a Happy Black History Month.
It's the tail end of Black History Month, but I'd still like to share this lovely maiden with you. I believe in the beauty of all skin tones. I painted her for the Diversity and Inclusion: The Influence of African-American Art in Southern California at the Ontario Museum of Art Exhibit. When I did a little research, I found that it was traditional in Black History to put blue bottles in the garden to protect it. I decided I wanted to paint one of my garden guardians for the show with a blue orchid as a connection to the protection of the blue bottles.
Happy New Year!
In honor of Chinese New Year, I have painted this tiger. We wish you a happy and prosperous lunar year.
Happy Thanksgiving! It occurs to me that I don't have a lot of fall art, but I did take this photo at Descanso Gardens of a very grate...
