WIP Big Eye Snow White Waterlily Art Original Painting Work in Progress + April Sketches, Sketch 20 & 21, Rose & Green Sea Turtle...

In this original work in progress WIP big eye maiden painting I've been working on her hair.  It is darker now and has some highlights, but I am not yet done.  I need to add some wispies and possibly some more glazing.  After which I will work on some shading on her blouse and then comes the flowers...  Worry not, I have not forgotten the highlights in her eyes, this time I am leaving them for last.  This fairytale angel fairy with water lilies in her hair is inspired by Snow White.

This big eyed beauty is on an 8"x10" canvas in acrylics.

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP painting I am a couple of layers in on the curtain behind a magician's lionhead rabbit.  The rabbit's name is Maximillion and the reference is courtesy of his person David Reeves Payne.  I still have quite a ways to go on the background before I get to the bunny though...  There is also the magic hat, but that will come much later.  I know I've painted a quite a few bunny paintings, but I love rabbits so, I think there's always room to add another member to my fluffle...

Sketchbook West Las Laguna Gallery Show Opening, Paintings & Sketchbooks!

Me (artist Lisa Isabella Russo) with my painting "Full of Woe" above me and "Waiting" by Jennifer Kimberly Carberry Landis to the right

edit: here is one of the sketches that correlates to her by me (Lisa Isabella Russo)

I went to the Sketchbook West Exhibition at Las Laguna Gallery opening!  The people there were extremely nice and I enjoyed my visit greatly.  My Wednesday Addams inspired painting "Full of Woe" was selected to be featured at the Sketchbook West Las Laguna Gallery Show.  There are two corresponding sketches in my tiny sketchbook that measures 3.5x5.5 inches.  The sketchbook is displayed at the Sketchbook West Exhibition along with the sketchbooks of additional artists.  I've picked some of my favorites of the paintings and some of the sketches by some of the artists to share here, but I didn't see anywhere near all of the sketchbooks.  There were so many sketchbooks, each unique and wonderful.

They scanned in all of the sketchbook images and had them rotating and displayed on this screen!
