I love this planet!  It's the only one we have and it is beautiful.  I try to do what's right for the earth as much as possible.  I hope you will enjoy my big eyed friend, I haven't worked on this series in a while, but I am feeling inspired by the beauty that surrounds me...

Here is a sketch of two lisianthus flowers.  There are also a few buds, interestingly the buds resemble rosebuds.  I think I'd like for them to be my next floral painting... 

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in April.  This is day 22.

Today is the opening day of El Festival de las Flores at the Neutra Institute Gallery & Museum Show.  I'll be there towards the end; my iris painting, showed framed here will be a part of it!  I'll try to take some photos while I'm there...

Here is another sketch of a tadjik markhor goat.  I saw this fellow during a recent visit to the Los Angeles Zoo and I was fascinated by his horns.  I'd like to give them to one of my Gothic maidens, but first I think I'd like to do a study of the animal itself.  This is based on one of the photographs I took while visiting the L.A. Zoo.  I'm going to decide between this one and the other one...  Markhors are listed as endangered due to people hunting them for their horns, I hope their situation improves.
