WIP Work in Progress! Original Big Eye Scarecrow Fantasy Painting...

I didn't manage to finish this painting for Halloween last year, so I'm hopefully giving myself enough of a head start to do so for this year.  This is a WIP work in progress image of my big eye scarecrow fantasy girl.  The original painting is 11"x14" duo oils on wood.  I've done the underpainting; although in my enthusiasm I lifted up some of the shadow from her right cheek.  It's a good indication that I need to let things dry when that starts happening...  This is a painting with many painting sessions ahead of it before completion, painting in layers is fun and rewarding, but requires patience.

WIP Work in Progress! Original Chibi Lovebird Bird on Sakura Cherry Blossom Branch Painting...

It has been a while since I've posted a wip of any of my personal works.  It's been a while since I've worked on them...  Facebook shamed me by posting a memory post of this, I hadn't realized how long I'd left it by the wayside.  Here is a WIP work in progress image of this original chibi lovebird bird on a sakura cherry blossom branch painting.  It is 5"7" on canvas and is being painted in duo oils.   Here I've painted the base of the flowers, I still need to paint their cores and put some final details on the little bird.

CatCon! CatCon! Catcon! Traditional Fine Artists Jasmine Becket Griffith & Michael Banks Sugar Fueled Collaboration

This weekend I went to Catcon for the second year in a row to see traditional fine artists Jasmine Becket Griffith and Michael Banks of Sugar Fueled's art.  They did a new collaboration art piece that's simply gorgeous and a pin that I love as well.

Jasmine was an absolute doll and signed so many things for my mother and I, she was amazing and so incredibly sweet.  I loved her cat apron, I think I may have one very much like it; good thing I went with tokidoki for the day!

Artist David Van Gough didn't have art there but arrived with Jasmine and Lani.  I didn't catch Michael Bank's wife's name, but she was so incredibly sweet as well.  I didn't explore much of CatCon but there was cuteness everywhere!  One of my favorites was the giant kawaii white kitty.

All in all an excellent adventure!  I hope you will enjoy some of my photos from the event.
