Angel Fairy Big Eye Gothic Sketch Art...

Here is a sketch of an angel fairy gothic big eye maiden.  I think she has a little bit of sadness in her eyes, I think sometimes angels see the world and are moved by all that they see.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

Angel Fairy Big Eye Moon Maiden Sketch Art...

Here is a sketch of an angel fairy gothic big eye moon maiden.  Her eyes are closed and she is basking in the moonlight.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've been feeling a little under the weather, but one of the things I learned from doing 29 faces is that even if I'm not feeling up to much, I can still sketch.  Which is good, I get a bit off when I don't have the opportunity to do art...  Tomorrow is one of the Huntington Gardens member preview plant sales, at this point I'm planning on going so I might not check in until we get back.  We might get rain though, so I'm not sure how that will go.  We desperately need the rain, but I'm hoping it happens today...

Happy Earth Day to you!  I took this photograph of pink and yellow flowers at Descanso Gardens.  I don't know what they're called, they were growing on an amazing tree, just covered in flower blossoms.  When I look at the spring flowers in this photo, I feel almost overwhelmed by the beauty of nature...  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

I am listing "Elegance," an original painting of some pink saucer magnolia flower blossoms.  I find these flowers very inspiring.

Cherry Blossoms Flowers Sketch WIP...

Here is a work in progress sketch of some cherry blossoms that I'd like to paint.  I haven't decided yet what size to paint them, but I'm leaning towards 8"x10."  I find these flowers very beautiful, but this will be my first time painting them.

This piece was inspired by the loch ness monster.  South Park has some very funny material featuring him, my favorite quote is on my webpage...  The loch ness monster is all about $3.50, tree fiddy (alternately spelled tree fitty).  When Nessie comes into town, I suggest you keep track of your three dollars and fifty cents!  The piece has a whimsical lowbrow fantasy feel.  The original is sold, but I do have this piece available as prints and ACEOs!

Angel Fairy Big Eye Art Original Painting Work in Progress WIP + Angel Website Update...

Here is a work in progress view of my 11"x14" original big eye angel fairy painting.  In this wip I'm still working on the wings.  Do you ever have a painting or a project that goes extremely smoothly from start to finish?  I sometimes do, but this painting isn't one of them.  I don't mind though because I love spending time with her...  I would like to get started on some other pieces though, so when I need to take a step back and get some perspective, I can work on another piece.  I'm in the beginning stages of a handful of other pieces, but I don't have them ready for paint yet...

My Photograph of Cherry Blossoms and a Japanese Red Maple Tree...

I took this photograph of during the Cherry Blossom Festival at Descanso Gardens.  I loved the white cherry blossoms against the red of the Japanese red maple tree.  I was looking through some of my reference when I came upon this photo.  I'm starting a painting of cherry blossoms and while this isn't the one I'm using, I saw this one and thought it was beautiful.  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!
