Sketch of a Big Eye Fairy Angel & Metal Unicorn Clip, June 10 & 11, Art Sketches Daily...

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  She is wearing an exotic hat and I think she is visiting at a ball.  I think she is most likely a fairy angel, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in June.  This was from day 10.

Here is a sketch of a metal unicorn clip...  It is meant to hold papers and it can be hung on the wall.  Alex gave it to me and I love it, but I haven't decided on a use special enough to put this lovely item to, so for now it lives on my dresser.  I doubt I'll paint it, but I did enjoy sketching it.

Intrude in Downtown L.A. Giant Bunny Rabbits by Amanda Perer & My First Bunny Rabbit Painting

If you like bunnies and art and bunny art and you're in the Los Angeles area, I'd like to recommend Intrude.   It's installation art of giant bunnies by Australian artist Amanda Perer and they're here until Saturday June 11th between noon and 9 p.m..  Alex and I went and met some friends there and it was wonderful.  Some of the rabbits are in different locations in Downtown L.A separated by around a 15 minute walk...

The bunnies look to be inflated white nylon and at night they light up.

I was trying to winnow them down to five images, but here are ten.  I had a difficult time only choosing ten, so there's a good chance that more bunnies may be showing up other times...  I did do my sketch for today, but I'm going to try to post it tomorrow.  I don't want to over post today and I feel that today should be a day of bunnies!

In keeping with my bunny theme for the day, this is "Gentle."  I believe it was my first bunny painting, but certainly not my last!  The original is sold, but prints and LE ACEO prints are available here.  I didn't get a chance to do much work on any of my projects, but I hope you will enjoy this bunny rabbit.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed gothic maiden.  She is wearing a crown of roses and I believe she has an octopus friend hidden from view with only a small portion of his tentacles showing.  I think she is most likely a mermaid, although she could also be a fairy angel or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I took this photograph of this rose at Descanso Gardens.  The colors of this flower reminds me of a glorious sunrise or sunset... I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

Here is a sketch of a rosebud...  It's been a while since I've sketched a rose, I decided to remedy that.  My grandmother loved roses especially.  I'm unsure if I'll paint it or not, but I did enjoy sketching it.

Here is a sketch of a small blue eraser my mother gave me.  It's a kawaii blue green fox.  I don't think I'll ever be able to erase with it, it's just too cute...  I doubt I'll paint him, I rarely do still life art, but I love having him on my desk and I enjoyed sketching him.

WIP Lamb Animal Art Original Painting Work in Progress + June Sketches, Sketch 1-3, Angel Fairies & a Sea Dragon...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP painting of a lamb, I've started working on his fluffy fur, I still have quite a ways to go.  It isn't showing its true colors in the scan.  When I finish this piece, I'll try to take a photograph of it in the hopes of getting an image that reflects the true colors of the background better.  This is an 8"x10" painting on panel.

Here is a sketch of a sea dragon.  Seadragons are related to seahorses.  I love his leafy extrusions.  I'm pretty sure I don't have the patience to paint this beautiful ocean animal, but I enjoyed sketching him.

In addition to this sweet clownfish fish original and my mermaid with clownfish original, I also have giclee art and ACEO prints here this week from Tuesday to Tuesday with a theme of mermaids and sea animal friends.  This is the last time for a while that I will be doing auctions in this way, in the future I plan to run some fixed price print and LE ACEO print auctions with a theme on the 1st Tuesday of the month.  Originals will be available on my website, so if you've had your eye on either of the two originals I have up this week, now is the time to get them at the promo start rate!
