My Photograph of a California Thrasher Bird at Descanso Gardens + 29 Faces, Face 11...

"Uh oh, you see me..." this little brown bird with the long beak in this photograph seems to say.  One day I spotted this bird with another one below the roses at Descanso Gardens.  I believe they are called California Thrashers.  Although I've visited Descanso Gardens many times, I have only spotted them the one time, I think they are very good at hiding indeed...  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

Here is a rough sketch that I did of a big eye elf fairy.  Her hair is in two pigtails and I think she has a joyous and friendly quality.  I'm not sure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.  She is face 11 for the 29 faces challenge in February.  For 29 Faces, the challenge is to share 29 faces in the month of February.

I am such a bird lover so I love the photo of the little bird here.
And your big eye elf fairy is beautiful, I love her pigtails :o)

Rose came to my house yesterday in pigtails and soon as her mom left, she said to me,"get these pigtails off me" LOL I guess they were too tight.
I took then out and she was happy!
She is a funny little girl!!!

Lisa, yes, Rose is very sweet and also quite a character.
She keeps me smiling all the time when we are together.
I just put her down for a nap and she was trying to talk me out having a nap...
She said, "nanny I will give you a lot of kisses if you stay with me, I don't want to nap today"
I gave her a kiss and said "see you soon"
She is sleeping now :)
