Happy Thanksgiving! My Photograph of a Grateful Squirrel at Descanso Gardens...

Happy Thanksgiving!

It occurs to me that I don't have a lot of fall art, but I did take this photo at Descanso Gardens of a very grateful squirrel. They were quite happy that the people were putting squash decorations out, or rather snackos...

I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

My Photograph of a Squirrel on a Pumpkin at Descanso Gardens + October Sketches Art, Day 26 Sketch, Big Eye Mermaid...

This photograph of this squirrel on a pumpkin was taken at at Descanso Gardens.  He was surrounded by acorns, but preferred the pumpkin.  I thought it was very cute and perfect for National Pumpkin Day.  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

I love to paint animals, you may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  I think she has a very direct gaze and her hair is flowing gently around her...  I think she is most likely a mermaid, although she could also be a goddess or a fairy angel.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in October.  This is day 26.

This is a rough sketch.

My Photograph of a Spotted Squirrel & Calla Lily at Descanso Gardens & Angel Fairy Big Eye Gothic Sketch Art...

I took this photograph when I was visiting Descanso Gardens.  I spotted this spotted squirrel and thought he was adorable.  I also thought his tail was different than most squirrel tails.  My focus was on the squirrel, but there is also a calla lily in the foreground...  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

Here is a sketch of a gothic big eye maiden who I am not sure if she will be a mermaid, angel, fairy, or possibly a goddess; or some combination thereof.  She has huge eyes and long flowing hair.  I think I'd like to paint her, but I'm not sure yet of so many potential details...
