Finished Original Oak Tree Painting...

I've finished my oak painting for Nibblefest, it's on ebay here.  Sometimes I struggle with what to write about my art and when I was looking at information about these Coast Live Oak trees that I photographed at Descanso Gardens, I learned that they are a “keystone species” and support the existence of hundreds of other species.  So in addition to being quite beautiful, they are a very important component of their environment...

Your tree will feed its beautiful energy to the home where it goes to. How lovely is that? All the love you put into your art, shall sustain and multiply the dreams of anyone who looks at it.

I'm looking at it through a computer screen and I'm already grinning ;-)

Oooh, Lisa, it's like looking up through the branches to the sky - lovely!

Aww, thanks Magaly, that's incredibly sweet. I love to paint and I always hope that love comes through the screen...

Thanks so much Patrice! That's exactly how I see the trees and photographed them!!

Such a beautiful tree - your painting exactly reflects the feeling I have when I look up into an oak tree. Very beautiful.
Usually I don't really know what to write/say about my art either.

Thanks Stacy, I'm glad you like them this way too! Thanks Carola, I love to look up at those amazing trees. I do find finding the words quite a challenge at times...

Soooo lovely! Looking up into the branches of trees is one of my favorite things to do. I could get lost in this piece!
