Sketch of a Yellow Calla Lily...

This sketch is of a yellow calla lily.  If you're wondering why all of the flowers I've posted this week are yellow, well, it's only that I have a bit more yellow on my palette than I will need for the paintings I am currently working on.  I hate to waste paint!  Anyway, this is part of my challenge to myself to sketch more frequently.  On Sunday I'll post the sketches for the week and, if you'd like, you may help me choose which one to do a small painting of...

Beautiful sketch of a yellow calla lily. I know it will be so pretty when you paint it (or one of the other flowers that you are sketching). I had a pink calla lily I got as an indoor plant. I planted it outside in a sheltered spot and it came back for many years. They are such beautiful flowers.
