Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead Big Eye Art Original Painting Work in Progress WIP + April Sketches, Sketch 1, Puppy Dog...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP big eye Day of the Dead / Dia de los Muertos fantasy painting, I've painted her eyelashes and I'm working on her shadows...  I think I'm pretty close to being able to move on to painting her hair.  Eyes are probably my favorite thing to paint, but hair is also usually fun.  I'm going to try to have her done for Tuesday, but we'll see...  This is an 8"x10" painting on panel.

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at www.lisarusso.com if you'd like.

I'm joining in this week with Paint Party Friday.  To see more participants, please visit:

Here is a sketch of a sweet dog.  This pup is cuddled up against her fluffy toy.  I doubt I'll paint her, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in April.  This is day 1.

This is a rough sketch.
