WIP Big Eye Self Portrait Art Original Painting Work in Progress + Sketch of a Daylily Flower and Big Eye Angel Fairy/ January 20 & 21 / Art Sketches Daily...

In this original acrylic work in progress WIP painting of an idealized big eye version of myself, I've been working on glazing a bit more shadows into the face and neck.  Next I believe I will begin on the roses.  I think this is the mermaid version of me...  I'm saving the highlights in the eyes until last.

This idealized big eyed self portrait is on a 16"x20" canvas in acrylics.

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

================================================

Here is a sketch of a daylily flower.  Lilies are full of such grace...  I'm unsure if I'll paint it or not, but I did enjoy sketching it.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in January.  This is from day 20.

This is a rough sketch.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  Her eyes are gently closed...  I think she is most likely an angel fairy, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in January. This is day 21.

This is a rough sketch.
