WIP Work in Progress! Original Big Eye Rococo Maiden with Lovebirds Fantasy Painting...

 


This is a WIP work in progress image of my big eye rococo maiden with lovebirds in her hair.  The original painting is duo oils on a wood panel cut to fit a vintage frame.  I'll try to remember to measure it before the next time I post her.  I've been working on blocking in her face, features, and hair.  The hair is partly underpainted and partly blocked in, the silhouettes of where the little birds will be is visible...

WIP Work in Progress! Original Big Eye Rococo Maiden with Lovebirds Fantasy Painting...

 


This is a WIP work in progress image of my big eye rococo maiden with lovebirds in her hair.  The original painting is duo oils on a wood panel cut to fit a vintage frame.  I've started on underpainting her face and neck.  Sometimes I am enamored of this soft focus stage, but I enjoy taking things to another level, so the painting continues...

WIP Work in Progress! Original Big Eye Rococo Maiden with Lovebirds Fantasy Painting...

 


This is a WIP work in progress image of my big eye rococo maiden with lovebirds in her hair.  The original painting is duo oils on a wood panel cut to fit a vintage frame.  I've only worked on the background at this point, a soft yellow that lets the panel shine through a bit.  It's difficult to make out the details at this point, maybe next time I paint on one of these wood panels that Alex's father cut to fit vintage frames for me, I will gesso the panel first instead of just using GAC-100 to seal in the sketch, but I'll see how it goes with this painting...
