An Original Painting of Two Horses Grazing, a Kitty Cat Art Print, and more Prints!

My featured print auction for the week is on ebay here.  It is titled "Waiting for You" and is of a brown and tan cat.  I also have additional art prints here.

They're all based on my original paintings with a theme of four legged friends and are starting today and ending next Tuesday.  There are cats, horses, a dog, a fawn, and a bunny rabbit.

Most of my art is also available on my website at http://www.lisarusso.com; however, I like to offer some art on ebay at a lower promotional start rate for the duration of the auctions...  The prints have a start price that's approximately 20% off and the original art has a start price that's approximately 25% off!

I'm listing this original painting here and the print of it is here.  The title is "Together" and it is of two horses grazing together.

Still not quite done with a project that is my priority right now.  I want to do Nibblefest this month, the theme is Sci-Fi and Aliens, but I'm not sure if I'll have time.  I don't really have a definite idea yet, just some vague ideas floating about, so we'll see...

If you miss this seven day auction, this painting also lives on my website here.

Possibilities...

Here's a sketch of a girl with hair across her face.  I think it gives her a sweet and somewhat mysterious quality.  I'm not sure if I'll use her for anything or not, I was just playing around...

I'm sorry for doing a lot of posting and bolting lately, I do intend to do some visiting when I get further along with a project I'm working on.

Mini Progress on My Cardinal Painting...

Here is a bit of progress on my little bird's perch.  This is a male cardinal, I haven't started in on the bird himself yet, but I hope to soon.

My newest mermaid painting is temporarily out of reach.  I know I packed her from the show and I know she made it home, but where she is exactly at this moment I am unsure...  Organization is not my strongest suite.  I'm sure she'll turn up at some point though...

If you miss this seven day auction, this painting also lives on my website here.

The No Themes and No Limits Show at the Chateau L'Amour...

Me with My Art

Here is some of my art at the No Themes and No Limits Show at the Chateau L'Amour.  I really embraced the No Themes element of the show and shared an eclectic mix of art.

Just My Art

I also photographed some of the art that I shared a wall with.  I was honored to share a wall with Alex Ledante and Christo Pharo.

Alex with His Art

I invite you to see more of Alex's art on his facebook page here, on his website here, and at his auctions here.

Christopharo's Art

I invite you to see more of Christo Pharo's art at his facebook page here and on his website here.

The Wall

Alex Ledante inspires me to try and be a better artist each and every day.  Christo Pharo inspired me to display some of my art and interact with people in person.  I am inspired by and thankful to both of them!  Thanks also to Dennis Delgado for letting me display my art at his gallery.

She Sells Seashells by the Seashore...

Here's a little sketch of a seashell necklace.  I may or may not use this drawing for something in the future.  It didn't end up going with my original concept, but we'll see what the future holds for it...

The Start of My Cardinal Painting...

Here is the start of my cardinal painting.  I'm not very far into it yet.  I try to work on more than one painting at a time.  One is the primary painting and the other is the secondary painting.  The primary painting tends to get priority.  Right now this is the secondary painting, I do love painting birds though.  I'll share the other one if I get permission to once it's finished (but that won't be for a while, I'm not the quickest of painters)...

Sketch of a Cardinal...

The Nibblefest theme of birds inspired me quite a bit.  I love birds!  While I didn't finish this one on time, here's another drawing of a bird, this one a cardinal, that I will be working on a painting of...

Hummingbird's Perfect Perch Photo...

I took this photo from the window of my old home, the window faced out from where the sink was to some aloe vera plants that the hummingbirds loved.  It took me a while to finally figure out I needed a camera there, just in case, at all times.  Initially, I tried to open the door and photograph them, but they were far too fast for me...  I was able to get some shots through the window though.  This hummingbird found a very energy efficient way to dine!

I have an original hummingbird painting on ebay here if you'd like to take a look at the auction.  It runs until Saturday 7/27 and starts at 99c no reserve!  I also have a couple of humming bird prints available within my listings here, they run until Tuesday 7/30.  I guess it's plain to see that I love hummingbirds!  The images are also on this blog if you'd prefer to see them here...
