I took this photograph of an angel sculpture at Armstrong Garden Center in La Canada.  I was looking for an angel sculpture to send to family and I wanted to compare this one with another I had in mind, so I took a photo.  I ended up going with a smaller piece, but I thought this one was very pretty and I loved how they had her displayed at Armstrong.  I hope that you will enjoy this photo! 

Here is a sketch of a big eye gothic maiden.  I think she may be a fairy angel with a very direct appeal, or she could possibly be a mermaid or a goddess.  I might like to paint her but my reference image is very tiny...  Still, I am glad to have sketched her!

I am listing "Reminders," an original painting of a sailboat on the ocean in San Pedro California.  I love the sea and there's something about sailboats that I find very beautiful.  The art has a realist impressionist feel...

I also have additional giclee art and ACEO prints here this week from Tuesday to Tuesday with a theme of sailboats and the sea.  Father's Day is just around the corner...

Fairy Angel Big Eye Closed Eyes Gothic Sketch Art + Sailboat Ocean Website Update...

Here is a sketch of a big eye gothic maiden.  This fairy angel has her eyes gently closed and is wearing a headdress of feathers.  I'm not sure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

"Crossings" is of a two ships on the ocean, in view there is a beautiful sailboat.  I was inspired by a harbor cruise I took in San Pedro California, although the person who bought the original was brought to mind of another CA sea location... "Flowing Grace" is a one of my large floral paintings.  It is of a long and lovely pink calla lily.  Calla lilies are one of my favorite flowers.  Come to think about it, I have a lot of favorite flowers...  They are so lovely.  The art has a soft impressionist realist feel.  The original is long, the prints are significantly cropped.  If you'd like to see a cropped version, please let me know.  This piece is available as an original, as prints, and Limited Edition ACEOs!

Here is a work in progress view of a 5"x7" original cherry blossoms painting.  I'm doing a small series of cherry blossom paintings.  This is a different one than the one I shared before, I'm still working on that one as well.  I'll also be doing an 8"x10" cherry blossom painting, but I have yet to set paint down on that one.  Sakura blooms are one of my favorite flowers....

I took this photograph of a calla lily just starting to bloom in my garden.  It was just after some rain and it had delicate water droplets  I love calla lilies, they are such a beautiful flower.  I hope that you will enjoy this photo! 

Here is a sketch of a big eye gothic maiden.  She is a fairy angel with beautiful curly hair.  I was drawn to sketch her by her curls.  I don't think I've painted curly hair before, I've done ringlets (once), but I find her mass of curls highly appealing.  I'm not sure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I am listing "Wildflowers," an original painting of purple and blue wildflowers.  Sometimes I have images of flowers that I do not know the name of, but these are so beautiful to me.  I painted them a while back but I believe this is my first time offering them.  This was one of my grandfather's favorite paintings of mine and today is the day that I feel like sharing this piece.  The art has an impressionist feel...
