Please Help Me Decide Between Which One of Two Chibi Baby Lovebirds to Paint...

 Edit:  And the winner by one vote across my social media sites is baby bird #1...  It was very close and I had some thoughtful write in votes for both birds, but I put it to a vote due to supply issues.  Thanks so much for the help!

I am doing a small study of one of these two chibi baby lovebirds, but I can not decide which one...  I will be painting both birds in a larger painting in the hair of a Rococo maiden, but only one as a study.  Please vote between bird 1 on the left and bird 2 on the right.

The vote will end on  Friday March 3rd at 2pm pst.  I will tally the votes between my social media accounts and begin painting the winning bird!

WIP Work in Progress! Original big eye bunny girl painting...

 

It's been a while since I've posted a WIP work in progress image.  This original bunny girl painting is 11"14" on wood and is being painted in duo oils.  I've completed the underpainting.  Next up will be her fluffy hair...

A Bit of Cheer! Happy Black History Month from this Mermaid with Clownfish Friends Painting...

 

It is dark and stormy and cold, at least for us, and colder still across the land.  To contrast with the weather, I've decided to share one of my brighter, cheerier original paintings.  This mermaid has three clownfish friends.  She and her fish friends aren't historical, but they do wish you a happy Black History Month...

I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's day.  I painted this image of a heart rising on the horizon of purple mountains quite some time ago, but it still speaks to me of hope and love.

Best Black Friday Package EVER! Original Camilla d'Errico Pop Manga Drawing!

 

Camilla d'Errico is one of my favorite artists.  I was beyond thrilled when I opened my Black Friday package and found one of the five original drawings she's giving away between now and midnight the 28th within mine!  It's my favorite of the five as well, a helmet girl with a fuzzbutt bee friend.  I am so thrilled.  There were also two gorgeous prints that were much larger than expected, a bookmark, and a promo postcard that came entirely for free.  This was in addition to my order, which I absolutely loved.  Thank you so much Camilla and Staff!

Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead Art Exhibition Cempasuchil Opening Saturday!

 

Alex and I have art in the Cempasuchil : Instruments of the Wind Exhibit at the Ontario Museum of art opening this Saturday from noon to three.  

This Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead  show runs from October 6th to November 27th.  Unfortunately we won't be able to make it to the opening, but if we do get to see the show I'll try to share some pictures from it.
