This little cardinal and I wish you Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!  My mom claimed this painting some years ago, so the original is no longer available, but the little bird still wishes to spread joy this holiday season.  With much love, we hope that your day will be merry and bright.

I love birds, mainly I think because my mother loves birds and my grandfather loved birds.  When my mom saw this red male cardinal, her face lit up and I knew I would not be selling the piece.  I have it listed as sold so that it's clear that it's not longer available, but I actually gave it to her as a gift.  The piece has a soft realist feel.  Although I no longer have the original, I do have this piece available as prints and ACEOs!

Cardinal Painting Work in Progress...

Here is a work in progress view of a male cardinal that I am painting.  I've made the bird's perch a more detailed, but I think I might also like to add a bit of a shadow below the bird and some moss.  I think I'm very close to being done on this painting though.

Happy Halloween 2013 & Cardinal Bird Work in Progress...

This year I didn't do much in the way of decorating, but I did go to Marceline's Confectionery at Downtown Disney.  They had all sorts of delectable Halloween treats!  I hope you'll enjoy my pictures of them and that your Halloween is filled with lots of wonderful treats!

A little birdie told me it was possible to do an entire painting entirely without blue...  I'm skeptical, but we shall see.  Here a work in progress view of a cardinal bird that I am painting.

The Start of My Cardinal Painting...

Here is the start of my cardinal painting.  I'm not very far into it yet.  I try to work on more than one painting at a time.  One is the primary painting and the other is the secondary painting.  The primary painting tends to get priority.  Right now this is the secondary painting, I do love painting birds though.  I'll share the other one if I get permission to once it's finished (but that won't be for a while, I'm not the quickest of painters)...
