La Luz de Jesus Gallery The 4th Annual Coaster Show Original Paintings, Angel Fairies + Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead Big Eye Art Original Painting Work in Progress WIP...

Artist Lisa Isabella Russo with her pieces at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery

Here I am with two of my small paintings that were accepted to The 4th Annual Coaster Show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery...  The one with pink hair is "Lotus" and the one with red streaks in her hair is "Orchid."  These angel fairies are little 4"x4" acrylic paintings.  It was amazing seeing so many tiny art pieces together, I think there are around 1000...

The show will run until October 2, 2016
Closing Party: Sunday, Oct. 2nd, noon-six PM

Location: 4633 Hollywood Boulevard Los Angeles, CA. 90027
Phone: (323) 666-7667
Email: info@laluzdejesus.com

I am hoping to go to the closing party, but I'll know closer to it if I'm going.  If you're in the Los Angeles area it's a great show.  I'm showing some of my favorite pieces, but there's so much wonderful art there; you may also see the pieces online here.  I believe that they will take phone orders.  All of the pieces are 4"x4" square or round and there is a ceiling price of $250, although most are below that, mine are priced at $100 each.  In addition to the coaster art, when I went, there was a statue of Trump nekkid in the middle of the room, I believe it's being sold for charity.  There was also Mark Todd's art, which I will try to post about another day.

Gallery Hours:
11 to 7 PM Monday to Wednesday
11 to 9 PM Thursday to Saturday
Noon to 6 PM on Sunday
The gallery is located inside the Soap Plant/Wacko complex.

I did do my sketch of the day for today, but I will be posting it most likely tomorrow.  I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

Here is a larger piece, this fairy angel is an 11"x14" acrylic painting.  In this original acrylic work in progress WIP big eye maiden painting I have been working on her butterflies...  She is a Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead sugar skull inspired painting.  The butterflies are monarch butterflies and they surround her.

This is a work in progress, but I also usually post at least one finished piece on Tuesdays if you'd like to come to visit!  You also may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.
