WIP Peacock Bird Art Original Painting Work in Progress + Sketches of Big Eye Angels Fairies Mermaids Goddesses & Flowers / June 20-29 / Art Sketch Daily...

In this original acrylic painting of a peacock, I've been working on the feathers.  I've been doing some details as well as blocking in the portion that will have more mermaid feather details as I go forwards.  I may do a blue wash on the green later, but I want to put in more details before I decide...  I'll eventually do highlights with the gold leafing paint near the very end of the painting.  The canvas that I'm painting on is 11"x14"

June 20-29 Sketches

This is a bit of a large group, sometimes I fall behind in scanning them in, but so far I have been consistent in sketching daily.  It's something I really enjoy, these are just rough sketches, but I hope that you will enjoy them.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  She is gazing upwards...  I think she is most likely an angel fairy, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

Here is a sketch of a rose.  Roses are a favorite flower of mine...  I'm unsure if I'll paint this sketch or not, but I did enjoy sketching it.
