Original Sunflower Flower Painting + Art Prints & ACEO Prints! The Van Gogh and Friends Exhibition at the Huntington Art Gallery Part II...

I am starting to feel much better, I am hopeful that this week will be better than last...

"Petite Fleur de Soleil" Original 5"x7" Painting on Canvas Panel Here

This week my featured painting is "Petite Fleur de Soleil."  As summer draws to a close, I think upon the beauty of these warm flowers.  Although I tend to lean towards cooler colors in general, I tend to paint sunflowers often, somehow they make me feel hope.  This original sunflower painting is available for purchase on my website as are art prints and LE ACEO prints!  The art has a realist impressionist feel.  If you love sunflowers as I do, you may enjoy seeing some of my other sunflower art in the floral section of my website..

Most of my art is also available on my website at lisarusso.com; however, on the first Tuesday of the month, I like to put some art prints and LE ACEO prints on ebay at a lower promotional rate for the duration of the auctions...  This month, my theme is sunflowers with a couple of hummingbirds midflight by some sunflowers, you may see them here.

The Van Gogh & Friends Exhibition at the Huntington Art Gallery Part II

Huntington Gardens has so many temptations.  For me I get lost in the beauty of their flowers, but the Huntington Art Gallery is home to some amazing pieces in their permanent collection.  They draw me in so deeply...

They also have excellent temporary exhibitions of art.  The Van Gogh and Friends exhibit was lovely, the Impressionism and Post-Impressionism art was on loan from the Hammer Museum.  I've chosen to share the photographs that display the art most clearly, my hands shake on occasion so although some are shown framed and some not, I've endeavored to give you the best of what I am able to share with you from the show.  As I'd like to share all of the pieces I was able to photograph, I have shared the show in two parts, Part I is here.  The Van Gogh and Friends Exhibition is CLOSED, but the gallery has an incredible selection of works in their permanent collection available for viewing.

"Garden of the Rectory at Neunen" by Vincent van Gogh

Study for "La Place Vinitimille, rue de Vintimille" by Edouard Vuillard

Study for "In the Salon on the Rue des Moulins" by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

"View of Bordighera" by Claude Monet

"Boy Resting" by Paul Cezanne

"Bonjour Monsieur Gauguin" by Paul Gauguin

"Touc, Seated on a Table" by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec

Whilst I have continued to sketch daily, I spent my time getting this ready and haven't had a chance to prep my sketches yet.  I'll try to get caught up on posting my daily sketches tomorrow.

"Petite Fleur de Soleil." is just lovely, a fantastic colour flower.
Loved seeing the pictures in the exhibition. I would have loved to be able to visit in person, but your photographs were very good, thank you.

I do hope the rest of the week goes well for you.

All the best Jan
